The Outdoor Education Program at Trinity spans five years from fourth grade through eighth grade. The program is an extension of the classroom curriculum. Besides the academic objectives met by the students on these trips, there are many opportunities for students to learn a great deal about themselves and about their peers. The students homeroom teacher and myself accompany the students on the trips. The trips range in cost from $100-$500 including travel meal expenses.

Fourth Grade-The Outdoor Education Program begins with the fourth grade. The fourth grade spends three days and two nights camping at local state parks. They participate in learning how to set up camp, cook outdoors, group initiatives, kayaking (if available), fishing, compass orienteering, hiking, and activities from Project Wild.
