Pre-K thru Kindergarten
The three-year span of this curriculum (K-3 - K-5) is considered a continuum. Children enter into its various elements as their individual readiness permits them. The overall goal of the Trinity Episcopal Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten is to achieve a high level of development in personal and social skills prior to entry into first grade. We work toward instilling individual responsibility, independence, self-confidence, self-esteem and the ability to work within, and interact with, the group.
Pre-Kindergarten 3 year olds

In K3 the day is divided among small group activities and various learning centers as well as attending special classes. A thematic curriculum will be the foundation for learning and integrating studies and activities.
Pre-Kindergarten 4 year olds

The K4 day is also divided among small group activities and various learning center as well as attending special classes. The Letter Sound of the Week is consistently used as an organizational device to create a focus.
Kindergarten 5 year olds

K-5 is a transition from preschool to the structure of first grade. Students will have some free center time while adjusting to more structure in their routines and more academic work. Although children have fun learning, it is a time to become more personally responsible for their behavior while sitting and listening for longer periods of time. The class environment and learning is related to Christian faith as the child grows more successfully independent.
